Question fins

I've heard that it is easier to ride without fins because its smoother, easier to do surface tricks, teaches you proper edging, etc. But I was wondering that once I know how to get up (going to actually START wakeboarding this summer, yay! got my first board for my birthday in february) how long should I wait to take them off? Any and all help is appreciated!!!

It depends on what fins you have on your board when you start, try using smaller fins for a bit because if you have been using large fins and you take them straight off im sure you wont be finding it that easy! Get confident on your board then give it a go!! Hope it helped, enjoy using your board!

go with a 1.0 fin that will give you control without digging in too deep. Find out what your style is. If you like sliding and doing surface rotations go finless, if you want to start carving hard into the wake for big pop then get some deeper fins!

Default Fins Are For Girls And Gays

riding without fins is a function to the type of board and the type of riding you do. An old style board with a flat bottom will be like riding a tea tray without fins however newer board after 2003 uasualy have some mould form on the bottom, you can do any invert without fins if you use your edge correctly if you need fins you are not riding correctly. In addition when you hit kickers and sliders your fins will be ripped off anyway.
I have been riding without fins for 4 years on the following boards
Hyperlye belmont 2000
Double up Freeride
Hyperlite 3DS
Hyperlye murry
