Red face Wakesurfing: someone throw me a towrope

Hey, I'm a guy who runs an extreme sports site and was wondering if ANYONE could please explain to me the difference between wakeboarding, wakeskating and wakesurfing...! pretty embarrassed.

Well, I know that wakeskaters dont strap in, and generally do more skate tricks like shuvits and flips, but what the devil is wakesurfing? the only pic I got was some guy without a towrope, and it's confusing the hell out of me!

Best definition gets published on Extreme365.com ASAP - I'll send you a heads-up when it's up.

thanks

Wakesurfing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If it aint on wiki, it aint worth knowing!

You use the boat to make a a big wake on one side (pile everyone/thing to one side of the boat and drive in a circle). The wakesurfers uses a handle to get up like a wakeskate, then pulls themselves onto the big wave, throws away the hadle, and surfs it like any other theoretically infinite wave.

Default here is the difference

if u joined this site i hope u know what wakeboarding is but il help u out w/ the other 2

wakeskating is like skateboarding on the water you do tricks similar to wakeboarding from wake to wake and you can do tricks on the lip of a single wake like skateboarding. it is done with a board w/ griptape on the top so i suguest wearing shoes.

wakesurfing is one of my favorite things to do in the water. since the boat is moving so slow it puts so train on any part of your body. when wakesurfing u should get a specific rope designed for it since u will be so close to the boat. you just are right behind the boat and you can surf the wake add if u get really good u can let go of the handle and keep going

Yea wakesurfing is just surfing the wake of the boat. you generally go slow to make a bigger, more catchable wake. The boards used are very similar to surfboards (hence the name) You can either use then rope, or if you catch the wake/wave, you can throw the rope in since wakesurfing is generally done relatively close to the boat.
