Hey guys,
My dad just bought a new boat and I was wondering if it will be enough to pull a wakeboard... I don't care so much about getting a nice wake for big jumps, just something to get going on and practice maneuvering and whatnot. It's a 16 foot boat with a 60HP Yamaha motor. We can pull a two-person tube at about 22 miles per hour or so, so I figured it would be enough, but I'm still not sure. Any suggestions? Or is this going to be enough and I should just go out and get the wakeboard and junk? Thanks dudes |

Only issues are as SC says getting the board on as no swim platform and lack of room for gear. We usually only take the one board out which is a pain. Alos there will not be much wake but for new boarders etc it will be fine. |

Agree with everyone else on this. One of my favourite boats from the past was a 15' Fletcher with 75hp outboard. Had a load of fun!!! And so will you!!!

Its seems to be almost an unwritten rule
"Thou shalt start thy boating career with a 15ft Fletcher with a 75hp Merc" Virtually everyone I know started with one of these. I loved mine and only sold it last year. ![]() |
