Hi, im liz, and im so fustraited right now, i need help! Basically i am a beginner with boarding. I'm learning to jump both wakes at the min, and riding switch, so basically in the water more than out!
I wasnt sure weather to post in this forum or another more designed to my question, but seen as im new i thought i'd post here. My problem is, that i have been learning on the back of my brother's boat, but he can no longer take me to the lake regularly and i am pulling out my hair! None of my friends are bothered about wakeboarding (alot of them didnt know what one was infact!) So as the title of this topic suggests, i am feeling rather lonely in my total wakeboarding addiction. I dont really fancy using a cable, and i dont really want to pay millions for 10 minute sets, what other ways are there to keep me learning to do what i love? I can travel, and will pay out for others boat fuel... but is asking to go with others cheeky? should i feel guilty? am i being a big girl? Help! |

I like your style, if you don’t ask you don’t get right!
Well if you don’t get a better offer your welcome to come ride with us in Sunny Preston if you’re not opposed to the travelling.

Hi DBJTS, Thats such a lovely offer! Preston is a way off, but i love driving so i honestly dont mind, are you sure you want to put up with me though? (i'm nice really
hehe)I am quite new to the whole watersport scene, do people without boats regularly jump in with others? I also just want to make friends with like-minded people, you know? |

Our “regular” crew consists of about 20 people some of whom come fairly regular, some of whom only come when its 30degrees or warmer.
There’s rarely more than 4 or 5 and we sometimes struggle to make 3 so there’s usually always room for another

I'm going on holiday in 2 weeks, so probably some time in July/Aug would be excellent. I can be a little shy at first but when i come out of my shell i tend to get on with absolutely anyone.
Are you in Preston, Lancs? If so thats only 1hr30mins away from me, and i am usually happy to dive in at 10 degrees or more - rain doesnt bother me either, i love boarding too much to care about it. Is there anything i need to know? |
