Default I think i have just the thing

for one you should do good starting behind a jet ski and actually if you wanted to you could have just as much fan wake skating behind it.

Now for the wakeboard i was checking out wakeside.com and i think i found a really good beginner board thats not too pricey if you look at their wakeboards under CWB there is a board called the Faze its not to expensive and all and its a great board to start out with... I will say though after you start progressing you probaly won't enjoy it but if you stay behind a jetski it should give you plenty of fun

Well good luck finding a board hope i helped a little bit

I agree as a beginner you dont need a great board, just one that fits your feet. as you progress no one can really tell you what board is best either. Its all opinions. Just find what you can afford. I think my dad has an old skurfer still if you want that.
