Wakesurfer

There is not a section for wake surfing and as I'm new to it I thought this would be the most appropriate section!

Due to the recent bad weather (and bad falls!), I have really got into wake surfing. I have been using a mates 5ft 6" Hyperlite board.

Even though my wake isn't massive and the boat has to drive straight (we ride on a river!), I get on really well with it and can surf for as long as I like. However when I use a shorter board (approx 4ft - it a modified skim board) I just can't seem to keep going. The smaller shorter board feels more responsive and more fun, but I think its just not big enough due to my weight and size of the wake.

I would like to buy my own board and would like some advise on models and sizing.
