Nick,
Thanks for pointing that out to me, perhaps 'cut hard' was a poor choice of words, however if we could all afford lessons/coaching then it would probably take alot of the fun out of falling in!!! Progressive obviously means increasing which leads to cutting harder, but as i say perhaps the wrong choice of words.
Wakeboarder 275, apologies for mis guiding you, keep trying and more importantly, as i find with self teaching, keep having fun!!!

Seeing your mates hurting themselves is half the fun isn’t it, that’s what you bring new cannon fodder along for.

I enjoy a good wipe out the same as everybody, but just a few sets with a good coach such as Stew Mackie or Will Christian could have you popping off the wake, like you never thought you could, and when youve got that you start to think about spinning and inverting, thats when the big crashes come.. Everyones a winner!

Another thing that helps is to get a buddy to shoot some video (low-res digital camera stuff is fine). Post it on youtube or somewhere and let us take a look. You will see what you are actually doing - which is probably not what you think you are doing. And, you'll get plenty of meaningful tips from the riders on here.
