Talking New to Wakeboarding

Hi everyone, my name is Johnny, I was just going to post up and say hey because I'm really excited about boarding now. My dad and stepmom have had a boat for a year now and this year we sold it and just got a brand new chapparal (sp) with a tower, so I decided that we needed a wakeboard. In the past I've done skateboarding, snowboarding, kneeboarding, but never wakeboarding...and since it's basically a combination of them all I was destined...I've decided it's by far the best board sport (atleast it has the best pain/fun ratio)...We bought a liquid force trip 143, which is way to big for me since I only weigh 145lbs, but my dad and step brothers weigh in the 200lbs area and we could only get one board (I'll get my own later)

Anyways, first try I get up heh...then I got up switch a few times but it's really uncomfortable...practice makes perfect and it's getting better...I've only been to the lake 3 times this summer with the wakeboard...the first two we just used our kneeboard rope with a lot of slack, and I was doing some small jumps and surface 180's...the last time I went we invested in a dead rope and I got a few w2w's, and now I'm trying air 180's (I just need to get a little more comfortable riding switch for the landing which is a little wobbly before I go down) Fortunately I haven't had too many terrible bails but a couple of bad faceplants (man those are awesome...)

here's two sweet pics my stepmom took of me (of course I think they look cool, I bet all the good people are like... ) lol

well, I just thought I'd share how fun this summer was with the wakeboard and I'm really pumped to get into the sport and maybe even get my own wakeboard by next summer so I can actually go the right speed without planing so much...

Starting off way better me, actually kind of discouraging but I'm going to keep pushing. I picked up wakeboarding this summer and still trying to get down surface 180 (going to try removing my center fins) and landing a jump today after work...

don't be discouraged...I've done a lot of skateboarding and some snowboarding too!!!

but it's lake Murray in Ardmore, Oklahoma...it gets windy there sometimes so it chops up the water...but at dusk, like that last pic, the water can be glassy, and when nobody is on the lake! haha...

thanks for the comments!!!
