Cool help with jumping

i got my board about a week ago its an O Brien and my first try out i got up and went outside the wake but could not jump a wake from the outside i would just faceplant...today i went out and i was able to jump one wake and get about a foot of air how do i get more air? i would like to be able to jump both wakes i think my problem is with my progressive edging im having trouble turning towards the wake i think i should make my line longer so i can go outside further its only about 50 feet. also what should i do when i hit the wake do i jump like im ollying?

There are many ways to accomplish a wake to wake. The easiest for beginers is to shorten the rope so you have a smaller wake width wise. Cut on your toeside as far out as you can turn back into the wake healside and cut hard hit the wake no need to ollie as a beginer you will eventually learn the technique for getting more pop. Also be aggresive the hard and faster you hit the wake the more momentum there is to carry you across. Hit the wake stiff legged but knees not locked. Once you finally get it you can let out a length of rope and try again on a bigger part of the wake. The more you try the better and easier it will become. Also watch videos of pros in slow motion watch how they have their body positioned where their weight is over the board. Where they hold the handle. The position of your body makes a big difference and starts to become more natural with practice. Good luck.

Lightbulb Here you go

When i first started i had the same problem. So what helped me was to cut out on my toeside the get a nice and easy roll onto my heelside then when i was about three ft from the wake i would lean back and pull on the rope and get i nice cut into the wake the as soon as you hit the wake release and you should get some nice air....

tell me how it works for you
