Default New to wakeboarding!

Hey Guys,

My name's Emski, 23 from Bristol and I am new to wakeboarding. Wanted some advice!!

I went cabling two weeks ago and tried kneeboarding - did ok but couldn't get my last corner which sucks - going back this weekend and determined to conquer that corner and get my self onto that wakeboard this weekend!

It's scary being a newbie as it kinda feels like everyone can't remember what it was like to be a learner! But I am gonna keep at it!!

Where's everyone from?! How did you do on your first attempt at wakeboarding?!

Emski

hello there emski

I'm from up north, in manchester.

To be honest, my first ever time i was terrible, i was a skier so getting up was okay, staying up was a problem...

Then once the basic behind the boat had been sorted, it was time to hit the cable. My first ever day at the cable was horrid too, the first corner at sheffield took me down so many times. Its a very long walk from the first corner there, which is not great in bare feet. None of this ever put me off, now i can't get enough riding. I just love it.

You'll crack it next time you go, then you'll be hooked and wonder what you ever did before wakeboarding.

Stick at it.

I've taught loads of people and nobody is perfect first time, some people take longer than others but once you crack it, you won't forget it.

Everyone remembers stacking when they're learning stuff, they just don't like to admit it.

If you're not wet and catching edges you're not trying hard enough!
