Hi
I'm new here and looking for some practical advice. Firstly is there anyone here who uses a rib for wakeboarding? ... i'm in the process of building my own boat primarily for wakeboarding but it also needs to be a good seakeeping boat too, i'm starting off with a 5.4 mtr Avon Sea-rider hull which has a flooding hull, the idea is to devise a way of keeping the water in the hull whilst under power creating a bigger wake. Does anyone have any experience of using a rib for boardriding and if so any hints or tips to pass along, e.g recommended HP outboard, frames etc. Many thanks |

Ive tried using arib for wakeboarding. If you wanna just piss about in the sea then they are like any other boat. If you wanna progress (wake jumps etc)They are the worst wakeboard boat i can think off. Best advice I can give you is to get a wakeskate and ride that behind it when the water is flat. Ive had some fun evenings skating behind my dads rib.
