Default Anyone using antifoul?

I'm looking to drop my boat back in the water early April and wondered if anyone has come across a clear antifoul I could use? I ended up hauling my boat out every month last season which was a real pain. I haven't used anything previously to stop the growth because the usual white antifoul would ruin the look of the gelcoat (it's a red Mastercraft).

Grateful for any suggestions!

Thanks....

I have white anti foul on a white hull which looks ok, don’t think you can get a clear anti foul but you can get shades of red. I’ve had boats both with and without anti foul and the deference is night and day. I’ve spent entire weekends with three other people cleaning hulls or a couple of hours on my own with the jet wash depending on antifoul.

Ok, thanks. Suspected as much. Just a little wary of making a mess of the hull - how easy is it to remove antifoul (excuse my ignorance)? I though it needed to be sanded off?

Getting rid of antifoul completely is a horrible job

Choices are normally scraping - solvents - or shotblasting

If the surface condition is reasonable you can just lightly sand and repaint - but eventually you will have to get rid of the while lot.

it may be a better idea to look for a hydro hoist or similar. It means an initial outlay but at least it can be sold on at a later date.

I am getting my boat antifouled this year, as I spent to many hours scraping cr*p of the bottom and dodgeing eels which have camped out in the exhausts!

I have been quoted prices between £200 and £450 and I have been told you can get different colours.
