Default Getting boat ready for summer.

Hey help please.

Took my 3ltr merc I/O out last wknd. Ran great for 15mins then there is a constatnt squeaking coming from around the carb area.
I know this is a bit of a long shot but anyone had this problem?
It is constant when engine is warm weather in drive or not.

Also it started missing at around 3000 rpm when towing and very slight over reving, suggesting possible fuel issue maybe? checked plugs, points etc. can anyone suggest other checks please. as i really cant afford to spend money at mo.

Dont think the problems are linked.

On the squeaking: If its not one of your belts, spray some carb cleaner round the intake, it could be a simple vacuum leak.

I had a similar miss fire, turned out to be a faulty lead and ignition coil (£25 fix). There is an online manual... just can't find the link at the min though sorry
