hi,
heater is great, only advice if you keep your boat outside, remove heater element over the winter. Mine has popped three u bends through water expansion over winter and its not cheap to replace. other then that when u want the heat its great!! |

Yup, defo worth throwing that info up; it says it in the manual (but who reads them when you can be out on the water instead!)
The heaters need winterising, much like an engine does, so if purchasing one its worth remembering to drain the unit come winter time, or ensure its filled with antifreeze (Like you or your local boat yard will do come winter time). The concept if exactly the same as a boat engine - if it freezes (with water in it) it'll likely crack - hence the need to winterise .Cheers, Mike |

I find it hard to get on a boat without it now in the winter. amazing!! got 2 x 3 outlet heaters from Towerboy. Went boarding last week in the sun on an unheated boat and I was colder than I was in January with the heaters on mine. when idling I need to give the boat and extra 500 revs or so to keep the heat coming but thats not too much of an issue... If i manage to keep the boat through next winter I will install a circulation pump. You still have that ex-demo one available Mike?

Afraid I never managed to get it back before the boat it was in got sold on.
If you give me a bell I'll work on finding a new one for you if you'd like? |
