Default Mid Week Holiday UK Waters?

Looking for a mid week holiday where we can take our boat and possibly camp or rent lodgings. A lake would be great, or a river/estuary that is accessible throughout the day.

Don't want to travel too far (IE Scotland) as friends will be coming during the week to visit.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

There's a 400 acre (I think) lake in the Brecons, not too far from you.

I've never been and I can't remember its name, but I was talking to someone on holiday who was raving about it. Its got camping and caravans from what i remember.

Your not wrong, its Llangors, we have been there the last two years and fancied a change! Sorry should of mentioned it!

It is a great place when the weathers good as its very open to the elements and chops up pretty good, although when the sun is shining you have to contend with 10 other boats wash.

However great lake and friendly people.

Any other ideas?

Don't tell everyone about Windermere, or they'll all want to come and spoil our private lake.
