The whole format so far is a good idea, as Lizzi said i got in contact with her and as far as i know there isn't a wakeboard club at my uni but would still like to enter the comp. If at all possible could the comp be on the weekday before or after the UK tour comp at JB this is because for some competitors it would be easier for them to get down, i know this is the case for me as i hopefully going down for the comp at JB and its around an 8 hour round journey from the north!

Think the expression session would be a good idea for the wakeskaters, or they could just judge it between themselves, i think that would work best for cable just because of the obstacles that it enables you to hit.

unirider, which uni are you at??

Just wondering if people like unirider who are at uni's with no club, but are near'ish to unis such as loughborough, if they can compete thro' our unis. We're a pretty small club so it won't step on anyones' toes, but it just gives people a chance to use their NUS cards and compete as a student.

what does everyone think of this???

unirider-how does that sound, obviously our union can't pay for your boarding etc, you'd have to pay you part, but if its easier for us all to organise it with the set number of universities rather than having stragglers (no offence) like yourself, i recon that could be the way to go!!!

Im at Leeds Metropolitan University and as far as im aware there isnt a club at my uni.

As with the joining up with another club I dont mind as its all a bit of fun in the end, unless there are a number of stragglers then they could collectively have there own random uni group, if not i would gladly ride for Loughborough as you said it would make the organising easier.

Hey all, Its Kay from Portsmouth,
I reckon, Advance, inter, beginner Wakeboard boat & cable both ladies & gents
Knee board one category
No tricks (not enough people)
No Jump (not enough people although its the best event)!!!
Slalom Advance/Beginner. ladies and gents. start at any line length and speed. advance cut off at 30mph. 28 for ladies.
Oh yeah almost forgot Wakeskate, 1 category should be enough since people who can wakeskate cant do much anyways.
Portsmouth Graduate on the 11th. therefore the earlier date proposed from 9-11 june is kinda no go for us.
Kay

Tonight in about 30mins time I will be entering the over 18s pro/amature Preston Beer Drinking Comp.

I've been showing good form this year and consider myself to be a contender, so much so that William Hills have got me down as evens.

I belive first prize is a Vindaloo and all the popadoms you can eat

Wish me luck

gregg & robin,

have we decided a structure of events yet?? i'm starting to gather people to do specific deciplines and want to get people thinking about what they'll be doing on the day.

Also what will be the cost for each person/club??

This has probably been posted somewhere on the forum, but we've had so many different convo's that i'm not really sure where to look anymore.

cheers
harry
