Default Plymouth Calling

Hey people
Us folks down here in the south west are looking forward to getting out in the nice warm sea for a few sessions, in fact i'm going out this afternoon. We have got our fresher's fair on this wed and thurs, 29th & 3oth, we're dragging the boat up outside the union and have made a wakeboard on skate trucks to tow behind a push bike to hand out flyers, risk assessment i know!
Interested in a holiday and i may be able to sort out a competition before it gets to cold, might be able to sort something up near glouster on the river severn but bare with me while i track some stuff down, but it would be only boat comp.
Hope you'll amped for another year
Speak soon guys

Carlos

unirider and everyone else,

I've spoken to robin and he's cool with all this but here goes:

Myself and two others from loughborough are organising this years nationals and its looking to be a damn good event.

These details are not set as yet, but some are more confirmed than others:

Dates: 21st-24th June, possibly a day earlier to stop the tight squeeze of events.
Venue: Sheffield cable
Boats: We've been offered 2 x Xstars for the event (to be confirmed)
Camping on site (right on the lake side)
Entertainment: we're hoping to get a lorry container to have bands and djs in the evening (and possibly a reef girl comp' see below)
Sponsors:
Extreme drinks, Body glove, Sheffield cableski & shop, white strip beer (thanks robin), extremegene.com (possible), reef (will negotiate soon, and possibly have a miss student reef UK comp'), if reef comp goes ahead will try to get FHM to sponsor aswell.

Sheffield will be offering us a really good deal because they're not in it for the money - just the exposure and fun!!!, so any extra expense will be on ent's which if we're lucky will be covered by the sponsors.

We'll invite commitee people up to the site around easter to have the anual meeting, and we'll propose the format to check people are happy. We're gonna try structure it to limited numbers in each event so teams don't necessarily win on shear volume of competitors.

anyway, gotta work 4th year and all, catchya all laterz,
harry

Sounds pretty sweet so far to me, especially coming up north, the people at Sheffield cable ski are real laid back and its a real good site, for both entertainment and riding. Would the boat part also be at Sheffield cable? as i didnt know they had boat there i thought it was pure cable, correct me if im wrong though.
Woo miss reef comp sounds sweet 8O

u're not wrong, usually it is just cable, but as you may know the lake kinda twists about abit so we're gonna put the boats around the corner.

its just a one off for our comp'!!!

and yeah, i've not actually been to a better place regarding the atmosphere than sheffield. alot of places in the UK are too focussed on making money, but that ain't the case here, which is why we're looking at a great nationals!!

You're right. Sheffield is a great place. I'll definitely come up to watch you alcholic layabouts.... er, I mean students, compete, and get some cable time in while I'm there. I'm assuming Andy has just about finished the bar, so the Stella should be on tap
