Default Is your university coming to nationals 2005? Need to know!

Hi everyone,

Hopefully you've all sent out the holiday information and we'll be hearing back from people soon.

Regarding the nationals, we're now starting to plan how many people we need to allow for in each event, timings of each event and overall costs etc.

To do this, I need a response from you're club within the following week. If you don't respond I'm afraid I'll have to assume you're university doesn't have a wakeboard club, and won't be able to compete in the nationals.

This is critical as you can imagine, we need to plan this event early as both me and rich are doing our finals, so want to get things organised!

Thanks for all your help, we'll be sending out details of the event, and how to register etc as soon as we've sorted out rough number of how many people we expect to compete.

Cheers
Harry

dates are 21st-24th June.

Thats been set in stone since before xmas. I'm a little confused as to how this info' might have been dilluted, think i've posted it somewhere up here, but if someones' tellin you different,............ don't listen to them.

lol

Once we've got an estimated number of unis coming, we'll allocate allowed numbers for each uni, for each event. then prepare a document, and send it out to ya'll.

Default Southampton Uni

Southampton uni will be there, reckon we could probably bring 10ish.

Any chance that this year we can see a return to catagories for riders/skiers... Beg/int/adv
The boys did a great job last year, but it seemed all the prizes went to people who are already sponsered / dead cert to win...
What do people think??

we'll definately be able to categories like that, but it will definately reduce the number of people in each category.

i.e. we're having to limit the number of people in boats men around 6-7 people. so we'll have to say 3A's & 3B's.

That was the intention of robin and greg last year, with the red and green bibs, but i'm not sure if it actually worked out in the end.

Think the problem is, it will still be won by those really good guys, and the best in your club will still have to compete with the good guys, so the ranking will be the same anyway.

If we do A & B team it. we'll have to score it accordingly, so the A guys are weighted higher, otherwise people could be tricky and put their best guys in the B team and win, which wouldn't be fair!

but can do A & B thing if everyones keen by just doin the bib thing again?!?!
