BOURNMOUTH UNI WAKEBOARDING??

there is a club at bouremouth uni. iv been a couple of times with them to thorpe. I dont think any of us are competion standard tho! well no-one the times iv been anyway....maybe next year!

It's less about being competition standard and more about being at the event and getting involved. Its a great vibe and there is a massively wide range of skilled riders there. I'm Running the event this year and i have opnly been wakeboarding since April last year!

There is no need to be worries about standards at this event as it really is a 3 day Social event for everyone to wind down after exams. Please think about putting together a group of people and coming to see whats going on that week... chances are you'd learn many new tricks and meet some great people anyway if your competing or not...

I ran the event last year with a mate, and am running it this year with Al (onemorepint).

Unfortunately if you're not at uni' you can't compete in the general competition cause its a student event so we can't get flexible with that. Last year we allowed anyone (students and others) to compete in the Big air comp on the last evening, but this is subject to student numbers in the event.

I would say if you want to get involved in come comps', get up to sheffield in the British cable tour comp (cables for cash), this is an open event for anyone and is a really good vibe (5th August).

Either way, even if not competing there's alot of open time on the water, and the vibe is really so get involved!!

Oh, and dates for the student nationals are 20th-22nd June (this was the hottest 3 days last year, so fingers crossed we'll get the same again!
