For those of you who don’t know who I am, for the last two years I was president of Southampton Institute Wakeboard and Water-ski Club. I am now Vice President of the student Union and head of activities at the university.

Those people who were at the student nationals this year may remember that I stood up at the end of the awards and said a little bit about getting Wakeboarding and Waterskiing BUSA (British Universities Sports Association) recognition. This will do great things for university Wakeboarding and waterskiing, in gaining BUSA championship status, universities will invest more money in both the development of your club and training, inevitably resulting in more universities taking part in the sport. In doing this it will not only increase the awareness of the sport as a whole but also increase the level of competition and performance at university level.

So I wanted to keep everyone informed and hopefully you can make my job a little easier. I need a letter of support from 22 or more universities in order for BUSA to even look at my proposal. So i really need to know what uni's have clubs or participate so I can contact the university and hopefully gain their support. Any information would be appreciated.

Yeah Great shout on the Busa recognition..Would help a lot of the clubs financially too. Am in talks bout the nationals for next year to so will let you all know how that goes!!!
