I take it that must be the old polly and not the uni, else it would be punting or watersking surely! (Listed in order of excitement of course)

If he's just started St Neots is probably great for him. You can board there all year round too its about 25mins from Camb. www.southlake.co.uk

There's wakeMK for cable bout 1hour away. http://www.wakemk.com/

Tallington's the best bet if he wants coaching and a decent boat. (45mins) http://www.tallington.com/

Or you can get to ditchford in about 35 mins. Not been there this year so don't know whats going on. They usually pack up for the season around october-ish. Contact details are on the BWSF web site.

Grendon's not too far away either http://www.grendonlakes.co.uk/

Default Cambridge too

Hi,

i am at Cambridge too, i am getting into boarding again (did it a bit a few years ago, and now starting again). I tend to go to Grendon Lakes, it is farely close (about 50 mins drive, well, me driving), and is really good facilities!

As far as i know, there is no soc at the uni, but this is something me and a friend are thinking of changing! I knwo at least 1 other boarder here, and it is not as though i am really looking!

If your freind is still interested in boarding, get him to message me here, and next time i go, i could swing him a lift to grendon!

Cam is in need of some club, ffs this place has enough money! If we can have a Flying club and all those boat clubs, surely a little wakeboarding club is not gonna be that hard!

JR
