which is why a place with a cable would be cool . . . tho cab wake could be cool, i do see it struggling to manage to cope with a large group of us very well as i'm fairly certain they only have the one boat. so it might be better to start thinking more along the lines of foreign cable parks

Default Warm Holiday!

Right so this brings us all back to the start...
The really basic question is do we go for a boat or cable and how many people we would look to take.
If peeps can go back to their clubs and discuss approprate budgets then we can try and base it around that. eg do people really want to ride 3 sets a day or for the whole day on the cable?

Are we going to ride (hell Yeah)
Are we going for the social (hell Yeah)
Are we students on a budget (Yeah still) - Sshhhh from you harry moneybags in the city!

when would be the best time for everybody...is there anyone here that really wants to look after this. I would be cool with it but need to know the kind of backing from everyone else and possible club numbers so we know where to look...
Alex

Dude, i'm in for either and can probably get a bunch of old schoolers' to come along, but you shud work out where u might go (cable/boat/place) before people can definately agree, cause place will afect cost of gettin there etc.

there's some cables in france, but dunno if u'll be able to get a great deal, otherwise there's some in bulgaria, but again don't know how good they are (obsticals etc), if you don't get a good cable you cud be stuck with some injuries and a bit of boredom!!

someone needs to do a bit of web surfin and find somewhere, i got some thoughts.

another point we came across last year, is timings. the nationals will mroe than likely be at the beginnin of the lboro holidays (cause al and jamie are sortin it), which is a few weeks later than most. Cause of this alot of peop's have been on holidays for a while and so are either already on vacation or are startin their summer job. This is the main reason our holiday didn't quite work last year, and poor response like we're havin on this forum (just me, dingle and onepint!!!!)

maybe just us 3 shud go out there!!!! lol......................

Talking

hehe hey i'm helping out with the nationals too!!! not that anyone has really spoken to me about it or anything tho . . .

cost is a big factor especially for me, im wanting to organise this mostly for the clb, as the chances are when push comes to shove i wont be able to afford it anyway

i know alot of our guys have just forked out alot of money to go on the snowboard trip next week, and if we try and arrange it so that we get money off people at the same time a fresh loan comes in, more people will be up for going cos they'll have money burning thru thier pockets!

and then of course we want a pretty good cable, with good kickers and sliders if we're going for that option

Exclamation Possibility now a probability

after 3 pages of chat i have finally got it together....and have found the following
http://www.campolubla.com/

This is a new camp in the south of spain who ride in the Med. You can see the boat on the gallery. Bigger wake than that shown in the photos with sacs and fat people (me post xmas defo). They have a pool and sky TV and all the other little things that awesome houses have like BBQ's etc so its generally fairly sweet!

The reason for looking at this one is cost! To fly from the east midlands will not cost more that £150return and Accomodation and boat combined are 70Euros per day per person. The boat will run as long as we want to ride as well and it comes to about £48 a day! Love it. (then the Beer money too!)

The proposed dates are the first week of April as Lufbra finishes on March 24th for a whole month. So if Janie, Georgie, Harry, Dunc, ian, alex etc have a problem could they let me know Asap. We can have a pre holiday party here in luf too for all peeps the night before leaving so don't worry about accom here in the Luf

I need confirmation from you guys if you think this is sound and if you want to open it up to other peeps then go for it! so long as we have a few people who want to rip and do not have more than a max of 12 people i'm not fussed (unless you have some other suggestions!)

South of Spain in April should be tan time too!

Right i'm gonna stop procrastinating and get on with some work!

Has anyone else picked up that Jamie Oliver is the Spanish wakeboard champ - as written in their 'News' section?

I guess he got in some warm weather training in that recent jaunt around Italy and stomped the Spanish champs on the way back!
