Default Cable Air

Hello,

I need help with the age-old technique of getting air on the cable. What is the definative technique?
I tried a lot last summer but couldn't work out how to get that air. Is it cut hard after a corner then hold on for dear life? I just seem to hit warp speed then get lots of slack then game over.

Help please!

Have a look at this:

http://www.wakeboard.com.sg/index.ph...1a&act=SF&f=34

and this:

http://www.wakemk.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=51

It's not just edging hard - it's building up tension on the cable, and at the point of maximum tension digging in with your heels even harder, and then releasing. Hydrodynamics & cable tension should then take over.

Mind you, all theory for me - I'm hoping the Raley clinic at MK gets me into the air!

cut really hard and fast, and then jump. Don't come off your edge, just throw your head forwards....trust!

Default yeah

saw some guy doing this at thorpe on Sunday, you just seem to build up tension by cutting very hard and pulling the overhead cable down toward the water, then release, after that, it's anyone's guess....

Looked very good though.

If ure riding goofy then come round corner 3, flatten off briefley then cut our hard on ure heal edge with equal weight on both feet, with arms and legs bent. just as u get to max speed then u almost jump backwards off your front foot, this keeps the tension in the line, from then on the cable does most of the work and it will pull u into the railey position, u should b looking at the carrier u are riding and then as soon as ure in the air start pulling the handle into ure hips and this will bring u back down! Can't do it yet myself but have listened to many good riders explaining it, i'm just waiting for the water to warm up, cause then continuous wipeouts aren't so bad!
Good luck, its all bout havin the balls to try it and keep takin the wipeouts!!
