I’ve picked up some great tips from photoman so I might pop down again in the next week or so.

that's weird, I don't remember seeing any photographers that night, but you've taken shots of me, so I believe you!
Good first go. The best thing you can do is watch as much wakeboarding as possible, videos, photos, go to the lake and watch, contests on TV things like that. To be a good 'extreme' sports photographer you need to know your subject inside out, to the point that you know what trick someone's going to do by the way they start their cut, 3 seconds before it actually happens. The more familier you are with what's going on, the better your timing will be and you'll catch the shot at the best moment. Next time i'm at the cable i'll keep an eye out for a lens poking out the bushes, and I'll come say hello.

good to see some photo's of the regular stomping ground. All my photo's seem to be a dot in the middle of a lake, you can barely tell who it is, let alone what trick they are doing!!!

If I see a camera poking out of the bushes next time I'll try and bale more stylishly......
