Jeremy,
How can I gauge the level of the different scores. What does 15.00 represent for example?? It all seems a little abstract without a frame of reference...

We entered the live to ride rookie type comp last year, dont know at what level or where we could fit in this year.... (some of us could ride in the masters) and the Girls on our lake are put off by the fact that they can ride Pro or nothing!

Hi,

The scoring is subjective as it is impossible to have an exact score for a particular rider from comp to comp, judge to judge. That is why you may see a junior rider with a score similar to a pro rider.

If you are interested in how the judging is calculated then please contact graham@wakeboard.co.uk who should have the judging rules and regs. In general riders get scored on intensity, composition and execution so a well rounded ride scores well.

The Live2Ride is calculated somewhat differently from the UK Tour. I had a chat with Karl Seyfang last weekend about it so contact him if you are interested in there team based scoring.

Thanks, we've been judges at our own comps so know how difficult it can be, however, a list of scores means nothing. I admit, from and administration point of view its quick and easy to post, but I look forward to the write up (which I no is coming..). Any chance of actually posting a list of tricks for every rider? (not just the top ones) It would be a good gauge of whats being achieved and what tricks are in vogue... my fashion air is so cool!

ps Which category do our Girls enter?

We haven't got the time to report a trick by trick analysis I'm afraid.
All the work done by Wakeboard UK is voluntary so we can only do the score sheet and a comp report which usually gets posted a week or so after the event.

The tour is being filmed this year by a proper production company so when that comes out we'll post the details and you'll get the best way to check out what went on.

I'm in the process of posting photos that we took from the comp, look under photos on www.wakeboard.co.uk

As for the girls it's tricky but only one group is available.. not sure why the groups changed but I'm sure there is a good reason.
