Sounds like your goin through the same dilema I've just gone through. I went for a concave cassette in the end. Like you I had absolutely no intention of spending £170 notes on a bit of sh1ty old ply wood. Untill I tried it that is. They ride so much better than I thought they would. I couldn't believe how easy it made the basics. I suppose it depends what you wanna do with it though. If your happy going round in circles then a cheap ones cool. Then again it may be a false economy if you think your gonna get into it and improve fairly quickly you'll end up naffed off by mid season wanting a better one.
If you do get a cheap one don't try anyone elses if they offer you ago. You'll just end up feeling depressed. :wink: You could just offer Frazcmankfar some coin for his 4-trak if he's gonna get a new one ![]() |
