Default Winter gear

Can anyone recommend a winter wet suit that is warm but allows good movement? Cheers. Any suggestions on suppliers would be much appreciated.

I have always found gul wetsuits to be pretty dam good from my surfing days - they do a 5m titanium one called the charge

I have the summer version and it's really flexible with great movement.

for £115 it's a bargain

I ware a 3mm o’neil suit through the winter. A lot less restrictive than a big old steamer. If your only in 20 mins at a time it's more than warm enough. At the end of the day your hands and toes aren’t covered so they'll snap off before your body gets cold. Get one of them gimp hoods if you wanna keep some extra heat in. Plus you can pair it up with a tomato in your mouth for a bit of extra style

Australia - hu . . who'd wanna go there when you can break the ice off your boat and ride in an old quary filled with ransid near freezing water. :?

Nice one fellas. As for riding in Oz - go to blackdiamondwakeboarding.com
They're 1hr north of Syndey and have two beasts of Malibu boats. I nearly killed myself coming off their double up. The water is beautiful, it is a lovely spot and the guys are very cool. They also do really good deals for days and weeks if you want to take a caravan.
Meanwhile, my search for a cheapie wetsuit continues, my 12mm gimp suit is a bit like boarding wearing a wookie suit, time for a change. ops:

Re warm suits:

hi there

We wear a jobe 5mm steamer @ £109.00 carriage free of charge mainland UK. Another option is a neoprene rash vest this is 2mm & short lycra sleeves this is to put under your suit then making it a lot warmer. Great also for the summer with a pair of neoprene shorts.
Check out the link on wetsuits www.justwatersports.com

Best regards

Lesley
