that wetline board is just a rebadged hyperlite gerry nunn pro model.. it maybe a bit old and past it but i wouldn't say crap. I reckon for the money that will have been paid for it you won't find a better board.. those free motions aren't bad beginner boards i'm told but i have never ridden one so don't hold me to it :P

On the boat topic, where are you boarding? sea or lake? if you are on the sea maybe you will have to compromise on wake and get a maxum or bayliner.. something with a deeper V that can handle some chop. if you are on a lake go right ahead and try to get hold of an oldish mastercraft or Nautique - it may be an idea to talk to 'ancient mariner' on this forum, I believed he paid about 5k for a mastercraft and loves it

thanks for the advice......

after reading your comments, im slighlty concerned about my board

I had a budget of £150 which is way under a good board range i know, but i didn't think it was worth getting a £300-£400 board to start with.

anyway there were some boards there wjcih had rubbish bindings at he pointed out a better board which had a large rocker - (is that the word for the curve of the board) which he assured me would be easy to get up on and good to get some air. I manahed to haggle with him and got him to a set of nice bindings on whcih are adjustable in size (so my girlfriend and mates can also have a go)

the guy was very reluctant to give it all to me for the price i paid for it -£200 which i thought seemed a bargain and i even got a free video - detention.

I walked away quite pleased with myself but now im not so sure - have i brought a pile of poo? ops:

he told me it was a gerry nunn, it is blue and black in colour.

i wish i had found this site before i brought it!!!!

Don't worry mate -you got a good deal! £200 for a board, bindings and vid is a great deal. I think it has to be remembered that as you are only beginning you only need a basic board.

I know the board and have spoken with some guys about it and none of them have come back to me with negative remarks - i'd stick with it and maybe upgrade in a year or two to something a bit more advanced.

.If its a wakeboard your gonna love it!
Oh, and where abouts in east sussex are you? im in west sussex and in great need of somewhere consistant to ride. I'm also pretty much a beginner so maybe we might see our paths crossing depending on what set up you get yourself
Got any ideas where your going to launch from?

Enjoy
Rob
