Default Anybody in South London

Hey folks,

I've just moved to London with work and will be needing my (very) regular wake fix over the coming months. I wondered if there was anybody else around who could point me in the right direction as far as good places to ride, maybe to share fuel costs or at least can read a road map. I'm thinking I'll make the trek out to Princes' or Thorpe at least once a week. laters g

Hey, we live in clapham and ride at thorpe. Never been to Princes, but I thought it weren't as good?
Although have been to MK a few times, as it can be just as quick getting there as trafic is a nightmare going out on the A3, and the people can be a lot more accomdating (no rich kiddies!), and you don't have to queue for 1/2 hour to get on the cable.
So yeah, would be up for hooking up.

come ride at Willen (Milton Keynes) it's the longest cable in the uk - nice kicker and sliders should be arriving for the new season (so long as no-one pops em - mentioning no names)

good bunch of guys and rarely any queues...

Can you post on here when you get your sliders, as I will come up then.

(Having said that I can't ride for ten weeks anyway due to a busted shoulder but will pop up to have a look at them when you get them)

have to aggree with el-tio, spent all last summer ridding Thorpe with mates that were learning but there are unfortunatly a few too many precious prats around, who aren't too supportive if you haven't got this seasons kit
Did one trip to MK at the end of the season and it was a pleasent change, especially with my new board

Seems a little bit harsh, i was working at thorpe most of the summer and although some of the kids may have colourful attitudes i've never heard one of them be snobby and they were pretty supportive in helping me learn. Anyway in reply to gazza, i live out in hammersmith and our uni runs trips down to thorpe every wednesday afternoon, not sure how good that'd be for you. Sometimes head down there on the weekends as well, haven't got my car up at the moment, but would be happy to split petrol costs if anyone else's driving.
