No its not the Titanic story again
Went out on Windermere today ffffffffffffreezing cold had to break the ice for 100 yards to get out of the marina but the whole lake was pancake flat once we got out. Some poor sap moored just outside the marina has a nasty shock waiting for him when he next goes up. He was moored on a very short rope and when the water rose 8 feet a couple of weeks ago during the rainy season it swamped and sunk, just the nose sticking out the water now. If this sounds like you you had better get yourself up there ASAP

I hope it warms up for when i get there or it looks like i'll be stuck inside with a vid and a mug of tea like last easter ![]() Isn't that the boat that was all covered in crap.. some kind of seahog or something - i think the owner must be dead or somethign cos i have never seen it out! So where was warmest on the lake? and was anyone else out at all? Mike |

oh no your joking, that sea hog was my life line. during the summer some scallies made off with my tender took it for a joy ride and dumped it half way down the lake. for a month i was without transport and had to swim out from the marina to my boat, that little seahog was my half way resting point, it saved my life on at least three occasions. not only that it was home to at least three pairs of nesting sh1te hawks! where are they gonna live now? (probably on my bleedin boat like the rest of windermeres grey and white flying crap cans.)
there are tears in my eyes as i write this i swear. i loved that boat. |
