Try looking under ski boat, theres a Ski Nautique on at the moment that would be better for the job.

that looks a decent Nautique, bit more than you are looking to spend dave but if you can get that gas kit off him for very liitle money you will nyon make up the difference in reduced fuel bills just over a season (as long as u use it enuff of course). the 4 cylinders motor in the invader aint up to much i doubt at that age if it's pumping out anywhere near the 120hp it did when new. with six on board and someone out on a line it will really struggle. if u wanna make boating cheaper go halves with someone. better all round that way if u are on a budget.

Depends on where you are going to be using you boat if your on a lake with flat water you can pick up a ski boat better suited to the job than the Binliner for a less than 9K.

If your going "out on the ocean waves" then you're better looking at deep vee hulls but Binliners are not the best build quality in the world.

Dave-o you can't go wrong with the Nautique. I have an '82 as well that I got last year, though paid £3.5K for it. Think I got it before everyone began to realise what a good buy they are.
Being as the reserve isn't met it looks like the owner is going for dealer pricing on it. Could be worth keeping his e-mail and contacting him after the auction to do a deal if he can't sell.
Would have thought £4.5K with the gas kit is a good buy. You may as well go for the tower as well, no use to him without a boat.
TV ski had one for about £4.5K as well
