I have been doing it for two seasons and my confidence seemed to get worse, this year I feel so much more confident! When I see about girls doing competitions after their first season i'm like man I need to sort myself out. I am not even thinking about competitions, i don't see that happening, i am very unfit. I'm just happy to have found something I really enjoy and can chill out with.
I love the scene as much as do the actual boarding.
I want to give snowboarding a go this winter and my brother surfs at woolacombe and is going to teach me. 8O

Definitely, it's all about having fun

I only started last summer but have been snowboarding for about 15 years. The wakeboard scene in the UK at the moment seems similar the the snowboard scene back in the day, when everyone supported and encouraged each other and it was all about having fun, not posing.

hehe.. sounds good 8)

See i couldn't have the time to spare or energy to go into comps ops: its not something in all honesty i'd be at all interested in.

The whole lifestyle rocks... except sitting in my office isn't quite 'it'

Hey Mazza,

do you live near Woolacombe?

I used to live in Braunton - surfed at Croyde and Saunton and worked in Chapter Surfshop (now Hunter).
