I don't feel put down Mike, I am glad of any advice, which is why I asked. I just wanted to make sure people knew I am not trying to pretend to be someone or something I am not.

It's cool - I think it's great that you're doing it. I'm a beginner myself so can't give any advice anyway. I just remembered seeing people stack it on the cable, and that has an immediate pull, where a boat ramps up more slowly. You're right though - it is all timing - I've also seen people leave the jump so late that they can raley as they launch.

By the way, did you get to Oxford, and if so how cold was it? I nearly froze me hands off on Saturday, flippin' air temperature was so low.

I didn't go to Oxford i was in bed all weekend recovering from a night out Friday.

I don't think I will be going out in this country again this year but am off to Spain for Xmas and New Year and have a deserted reservoir and a boat waiting for me.

All weekend? Sweet!! That outclasses mine a couple of weeks ago where it was 3:30 PM on Saturday before I could face hitting the water.

Jealous of the Spain thing - I really wanted to go to X-treme Gene. A guy at work has been there a few times (although he's a swerver), and he really rates it - although he did recommend picking a time when Matt Crowhurst is out there.

I never did sort out my wakebording holiday, and now they've just announced a shed-load of redundancies at work, so I may skip it and conserve funds, just in case. Not happy.

I went to extreme-gene this year, the lake is amazing. Matt was out there is October I think. I think he is off the Australia for the rest of the winter now.
I am going to the South East of Spain at Xmas and have not been to this part before so am looking forward to it.
