Just thought we should set the record straight ref L2R, Ditchford and Grendon Lakes.
Although we have not been officially informed, we understand from postings on this site by John Earnshaw that the L2R stop in 2005 will be held this year at Ditchford, we are therefore treating this information as fact. We would like everyone involved to know that this is "cool" with us and we would like to wish L2R and Ditchford good luck and all success for the tour and 2005. We have however read many of the postings on this site and are concerned that hostile, abusive words and threats will damage the reputation of both the tour and the two watersports centres. We have had the pleasure of hosting the midsummer stop of L2R for the last three years and hope that it is acknowledged we have had great deal of imput into making all three stops the roaring success, that they undoubtedly were. It has not been unstressful becoming more and more involved in the organisation of these events, a great deal of man hours is devoted during the six month period prior to the stops. Much goes on behind the scenes, a fact which we am sure John Earnshaw and Shawn Bronson will concur. The results however speak for themselves and we are particularly proud of the fact that all three events allowed us to put something back into the sport for riders and spectators. At Grendon, it will be "business as usual" and we will continue to work on producing the laid back atmosphere all of us have come to love. Ditchford customers will always be welcome at Grendon and we hope sponsors and pro riders will continue to visit us in the future. There is always room for more water for riding, sliding or whatever else rings your bell. The Bevington Family Grendon Lakes |

Props to Grendon, Good post.
I think both parties have valid arguments - but i think we'd all like to see this resolved as soon as possible so both the popularity and integrity of grendon and the tour can stay intacked. |

A good post to put things straight!!
good to hear your comments on here and to ensure everything is cool at grendon - the way it always is - the way it always will be. I guess some people can get a little protective at times. lets get wet! |
