Surely it must be an actual sport to have a national finals? Sounds to me like whoever's organising it, is riding in it and intends to win, and want's a 'title' to stick on his board/car/boat/knob etc.
It could be good, but considering the best riders from the UK haven't heard anything about it, I'm guessing it'll be as exciting as indoor windsurfing!
