Today we received very sad news that Tom Watson, a highly successful UK cable rider, had been injured in a road accident on Sunday night. He is currently in intensive care in hospital and in a very serious condition. All of us at Wakeboard UK have been shocked and saddened by the news and send our love and support out to Tom, his family, Lisa and friends.
Lisa Williams, Tom's girlfriend, contacted us with the news via an email which is detailed below: =================== Hi There, Firstly apologies for approaching you in this way, but I was hoping that you would be kind enough to help out a fellow wakeboarder. My boyfriend Tom Watson who is European Cable Champion and Wakeboards at Princes Club in the UK was involved in a serious car accident on Sunday. He is in Intensive care and is seriously ill but we are praying that he will pull through. When he does it would be wonderful for him to have a card/s from any pro wakeboarders out there with a message of support to help him through what will be the toughest time of his life. His idol is Parks Bonifay, but anybody would be 'wicked'!! Please do this for him, and pass this message on to any pros out there, it would mean so much to him and me. Thank you so much Lisa ====================== I know that the UK wakeboarding community can pull together to help out Tom and Lisa so please can anyone able to assist contact me via a pm or email and I'll return the address for sending cards etc.

for anyone interested, Tom is now looking heaps better. He's out of the coma and talking, although he's still somewhat confused.
His mobility is coming on well, but his right arm doesn't have much movement. We'll have to wait and see but it's looking up. I'm off to see him again today, and will pass on everyones best wishes to Tom and his family. merry christmas |

Sim,
That's good news... thanks for keeping us updated. I'd also like to add thanks to all the riders out there who have contacted Tom's girlfriend to send their support... we've had messages from the UK , Europe and Oz. Keep battling Tom!
