Default UK Retailers ?

Hi all

I got hooked on wakeboarding on holiday this year and I am looking to get set up with some wakeboarding gear for next year. However I am not sure which retailers to talk to because like in all things I imagine there are good and not so good.

So any recommendations as to who is worth talking to would be gratefully recieved.

By the way my job takes me around the country so visiting good stores would not be a problem.

Thanks DD

Wentworth Action Sports at Tallington are worth a visit. They'll let you take boards away with you to 'try before you buy' and they'll usually do a deal with you if you've seen cheaper in the UK. After sales is pretty good too. Probably not got much stock in now though.

also you could try the shops at either Princes club or Battledays (Thorpe Park) just outside London. if you come up north Tantrum in Preston is a good bet. all these shops are run by riders and they all know their stuff so should give you good advice. where are you from by the way?

hey,
you should try 'The Ski Boat Zone' in oxford, just next to oxford wwc. i think that they usually ley you try stuff at the lake before u have to buy, and they are really good people down there so i would definately recomend it.

Hey buddy,

I think you need to say where you live - there's places all over the place! However, Tantrum are pretty sh1t hot with advice and an honest answer when it's needed! Check out their website, you can even order online now.

www.tantrum.info

If you have any questions, drop Tim a line, he can sort you out with a pretty good deal.

tim@tantrum.info

Sounds like I'm a bit biased towards the place! Well, I photographed his winter lines for the website and will be doing the same for all the new gear when it comes in!

Good luck fella either way

Also don't forget the smaller shops, trying to build up their business and expand...
My local watersports shop Spot on Water in Mudeford, Dorset has just recently expanded to it's 2nd shop in Highcliffe, Dorset. Mark is a real nice guy and has just set me up with a great deal on Board & Bindings package.
I pick it up on Thursday...Can't wait to try it out!!
