Road Trip

Me & some friends are planning to go on some road trips this year to try different places to ride in the UK. The place where I rode a lot last summer has a small lake, (especially bad when two boats are running) they've put the prices up for this season and want payment in advance so we don't think it's worth riding there much anymore.

We want to try as many places as possible (depending on cash flow), and would like to venture up North at least 3 times and possibly top the season off with a trip to Spain, or France or somewhere in September. I'm doing some internet research right now to find out where we could go. Any input into this adventure is gratefully received and everyone is welcome to hook up with us, it would be so nice to meet you guys face to face.

We are also thinking of doing a video diary, and maybe try and get it produced if the footage is good enough.

If you have any commnets, ideas, recommendations of places to ride, camp and go boozing, or just wanna share in the adventure please PM me or reply to this. I could put post on here the places we will try each week or fortnight before the weekend hits, so if people wanna jump in a car/train and join us they could.

If you’ve got Windermere on your agenda (and if you haven’t you should) then you need to go before the end of March when the NAZI occupation starts. :cry:
Of course if you want to hook up with us “freedom fighters” after March we intend to still be there working with the local underground. :twisted:

Glad to see there is some resistance on the ground, mind youthere is probably going to be an assault by the Central Freedom Fighters in the very near future.. :-)

dude if ya coming up north you have got to go to haverig that place is a northern wakeboardin mecca,run by top people with the finest facilitys .
top of the list bein jasons phat super air. and i am sure someone will correct me if iam wrong but think they may be doin accomodation/camps this season..... well worth a visit

I'm gutted about Windemere cos I've never been there. Would like to visit the area anyway will keep you informed when we plan to visit.

I want to try and visit some places as well: On my list: (in case this helps you in anyway)

- Thorpe (started out here and have not been for about three years).
- Princes (Rode there for a season and a bit in 2002/3, only went out on the boat once though).
- West Midlands (Visited last year and had a good day, cheers Robin).
- Oxford (Not been yet but sounds like there is a good group of people there).
- The Ski Shack (Not been, sounds like you could get some good coaching there).
- Brighton (Would like to go down and meet Samara and see what Wakeboarding on the sea is like)
- Some River in Bideford that friends of my Mum wakeboard??
- Windemere (To see the rebels that are still riding there and try and get a tow)
- Willen (Not keen on the cable but have visited a few times and it looks okay, if they have a kicker that would be cool for practice. Also if they have that inflatable slider back I wouldn't mind giving it a go).
- Xtreme-Gene (went last year but only had one session, (I wasn't staying there))
- Somewhere in Florida!!
- AND of course my home lake Grendon! Where you should all come and visit!
