Kimbo,
there is a place down in lidd in kent called actionwatersports, they are a club who have a small lake close to the sea, i dont know weather they let other boat owners on but they do run 2 boats themselves and do good club members rates. Might be worth a go rather than your own boat. If you are closer to the M25 then princes, thorpe and quayside are not far away?
