Hi
I am new to the wakeboard scene in England having done a little in Aus and getting back into last year on the cable at princess club. I am based in SW Central London (Clapham) and am looking to get my own boat but a little worried on were I could use it. Doesn’t seem to be the same as back home were there are loads of places to ride for just a ramp fee. Anyone got any advice on were I could go ? I was looking into Kent Boat and Ski Club, but I really have no idea ... With a price range of around £5000 – 6000 can anyone give me some advice on what sort of boat to get and what to avoid and what sites I could look at ? Any advice would be appreciated Cheers

kimbo,
you may want to try TVski in datchet, they are the nautiques dealers for the sw, only about 30 mins from where you are. For the best boat for the money you should be looking ata 2001 nautique, thats the name not the year. They have a sick wake and they are easy to maintain. ![]()

from my experiences your biggest problem is going to be finding somewhere to use your boat, especially if you are used to the freedom and space of Oz. You just dont get those big unused rivers and lakes over here. Everywhere is owned by someone and there are always plenty of other people trying to get on it.
This may sound a bit negative but ive been to Oz a few times and enjoyed skiing with friends on miles and miles of deserted rivers . It kind of spoils you.

Kimbo,
Just seen mack daddys post for his entry level pro comp. This boat is far from entry level for wake boarding, i can only think he means price, but he is well worth a PM and the boat for sure is a beauty.

Most clubs at this time of year are a little dormant, just waiting for summer to come around. It's also a good time to do a seach around and get your name down on there waiting lists for new membership. Quite often (I am on the comitey for our club) they will have a waiting lists, but alot of the people on them ,will of been from last year, who quite often when contacted have moved on, or are no longer interested. My point is, don't be put off by long waiting list, just keep pestering to show how keen you are. Club secraties my see your application as a certanty and get fed up with endless waisted letters to people that were in frount of you on the list. Good luck
