Default Lake Windermere. What's the story?

Is anyone going for one last session on Windermere before the speed limit comes in?

I'd love to be there, but the people who own the boat I use are on holiday.

If your going up, do you have any space on the boat in return for some petrol money and a couple of drinks?

Also, does anyone know if Kitesurfing will be allowed on the lake with the speed limit enforced? I don't know how the law works with kites.

Cheers guys. Catch you later

There will be a lot of people out and about over easter weekend, i'm sure you can blag some riding time somewhere!!

As for kite boarding - not likely - it involves young people, healthy excercise and an opportunity for bringing in some cash to the area.

I've heard they're putting security guards at all entrances to the national park - armed with staple guns to keep out any young people wanting fun!!   Might apply for a job ops:

Awesome answer Shack. You just had me on the floor laughing.

How does the Law on that work though? Is the speed limit enforced on sail boats too? Not being a sailer myself, but can you tell the wind to blow a little slower?

The law doesn't apply to sail boats and they're not powered craft.

Having said that, you can't kite surf either as you're not allowed to be towed from the air. And I've heard that they'll be charging for the air we breath next as well!

Oh well, off to find out about those staple gun jobs...

But aren't sail boats towed by the air? That place is a peanut butter sandwich short of a picnic and no mistake.

And Noddy. Isn't Adam set up in Preston now? I didn't think he was going to Windermere any more. I'll drop him a line to find out. Watch this space.
