Default Advice about where to wakeboard

Hello all,

I am after a bit of advice. I am new to wakeboarding and would like to know where is a good place to learn to wakeboard (I live in London). I would like to have a lesson or two, preferably using a boat and not a wire tow.

Any advice would be cool. Cheers guys!

AdamO

Princes is based in Ashford, near Heathrow. They have two cable lakes and boat lake. It is a really nice club. They also have a good shop, restaurant, bar, gym, bbq in the summer etc etc.

Just of the M25 is Thorpe, (next to Thorpe Park), again this is a nice club with one cable lake and a boat lake, shop, outdoor bar, shop etc.

There must be a few other lakes around there but I am not sure if they are for provate boat owners.

Like most lakes the boat drivers are normally instructors too, if you tell them when you book that you are new they will make sure. Both of these clubs are really friendly and are good at helping and giving advice.

You could also try Docklands Waterski and Wakeboard -

Its next to or near the City Airport

Also Liquid Leisure at Datchet is probably as easy to get to from central London as are Thorpe or Princes

Basicaly you've got loads to choose from, unlike us poor folk in the midlands and up north!!!!

Can recommend Thope ( http://www.jbwaterski.com/ ) or Quayside ( http://www.quaysws.co.uk/ ) both just off the m25.
