Now that is a number of points well put!! I reckon you should run yourself Tower Boy. Logic and passion like that are what's needed - not the 'nanny state' way we are all getting fed up with.

Well said Mr. Tower Boy I agree with the majority of your ranting but I don’t think you can lay the blame for the current “nanny state” on Labors doorstep (not that I support Labor for one moment).
I think the whole civilized world (and some parts of Wales) is currently caught up in the PC madness that has created our current environment.
We now live in a country where flying your national flag is considered racist and your job prospects with the local council are vastly improved if you are a gay, excon, exdruggi disabled lesbian from an ethnic minority who speaks Urdu.
And who’s responsible for it? You and me and every one else over the age of 18, you see the general public made up of retards and half wits are the ones who elect these tossers and then lay down and roll over no matter what ludicrous legislation is brought in.
The 10mph ban on Windermere being a classic example, of the approximately 6500 power vessels that were registered in 2004 all of whom received a questionnaire about the lakes future 205 replied. What were the other 6300 people doing, they either thought “oh well it’s the law” or they just couldn’t be arsed to stand up and be counted.
Now Tony’s a stand up guy doing the best he can but he’s not going to get anywhere in my opinion because the people he’s fighting for wont support him, their just going to roll over and take it even though every one knows its wrong.
Perhaps this country would be better off governed by Mensa and scrapping the electoral system rather than the current democracy that allows morns to elect morons.

Hmm, I have to agree with you on Tony.

I am up for doing what i can but the sad fact is that the majority just don't seem to care enough.

Theres still a few of us out there that believe in the cause.... but for most, pleasure boating on windermere just isn't an issue

I found something for all those retired hunting dog packs, we can hunt ramblers instead, it sounds fair game, their all over the countryside, eroding the land, wearing fetching boble hats and illuminous kagools, if we pick one or two off a weekend no one will notice, and during the process the numbers of the LDNPA will fall as we rid the hills of the bandy legged ramblers, then there will be no one to moan about us having more fun than them.

I never agreed with that statement until i had a conversation with one of my elders ( ops: ) a few months ago..

I have to say its dead on; the massive problem we face in our society is that the average voter knows sh*t.

Hence the birth of the BNP.... whose leaders seem to have no idea what makes britain great, nor what will kill this country (Namely everything they stand for).

Just my thoughts...
