generally leicester is a members ride their own boat, but i know both nottingham and now us (loughborough) ride there, not sure if i can release all the info' cause the guy their likes to keep it exclusive. send me a personal message and I'll ask them for you.

Matt prices' lake is gonna be about 5 minutes from church wilne. They'll be using an '05 super air nautique. I believe they will also have the nautique and hyperlite main dealership at the lake aswell, so will have a good setup!

I'm glad you'vegot somewhere you can ride and that you made plain why your not into church wilne - you could have said it all in your first post rather than the erroneuos info you did post.

As far as i'm concerned its the mates you ride with that are the most important aspect of riding, as everyone in every club has their own agenda and theres too much politics and crap in every club I've ever been a member off. I just take part in the sport to relax and unwind from my main work, as probably most people on this forum do.

Finally please note I,m nothing to do with the guys at TEN-80 - they just copied my name!!!!

I've gotta agree, thats why we're now down at leicester, the atmosphere is set up for people who wanna ride, and everyone gets along for that single reason. I love it down there cause its the lifestyle that comes with boardin that keeps us all doin it!!!

unfortunately that message has been lost somewhere along the line, and riding or skiing is no longer the no1 priority. I've no idea what is, but it definately ain't that.....

ure right tho, shud've said it straight off, but hey.

here's another plug for everyone to come along to the student nationals on 21st - 24th june at sheffield cable.....its gonna be a good event with loadsa sponsors etc.

Couldnt agree more with 1080.

To chuck my comments into the mix, church whilne is the most bureaucratic and polically cripplied clubs I've ever been too. As a result is no fun at all to be down there alot of the time. I'll never go again.

There are really nice people there alongside a collection of absolute unfortunates who seem to have the rules behind them and have free rein to rip off anyone they see fit.

Once you get around all of the rules and actually try to ride you have jet skis and four other boats running around in circles on a lake that really isnt big enough. Consquently you can forget smooth water. The club boat is some kind of ski nautique which is by far the worst thing anyones ever charged me £15 to ride behind. They will tell you that its fine for everyone apart from top level pro's, which is just an insult to anyone's intelligence.

I gather they are getting a mid-level nautique wake/ski boat in at some point. But bear in mind they have been saying that for about a year now.

Basically its run by a bunch of del boy waterskiers how are now too old to waterski and so sit about thinking of new rules and ways of making money out of anyone with a wakeboard. Simply not my idea of fun.

The really nice people I mentioned above are leaving shortly to start their own place up. Run literally by boarders for boarders the setup there really will understand that wakeboarding isnt just a great new way to fund waterskiing but a sport in itself. Cant wait for that in this area....

I once went to a live2ride stop to church wilne a couple of years ago. It was awful. The smaller of the two lakes (were they held the comp) was too small and you had to dodge the slalom bouys. They ran out of fuel and there were no spectators. The ski members did not even come across to see what was happening. A very unfriendly club. Why on earth are live2ride using this place again. Big mistake.
