I go down ellingham every now and then when the tides are bad, very nice super air/facilities and everyones pretty friendly.

Boat ownership is a costly business even more so when your moored on the solent, but every now and then when the tides are right for very early mornings or late evening sessions when you've got long glassy flat straight lines runs in front of you there is nothing so spiritually right!

But theres also nothing as wrong as the harbour master sheperding everyone into the cramped designated ski zone on a busy hot day with a load of other boats and damn jetski's messing up your water.

On that note if anyone see's a reasonably sized lake for sale that we can build modest houses round and share an x5 i will be up for chipping in for my spot beside it.

Hi there

Havent been on this site for a while but it's the summer again so kinda thought I would see what's been happening. I have a boat on Haling Island @ Northney Marina. Where is this lake? Is it the one by Sainsburys?

Hi Guys

I can see this is an old thread, but though I would let you know I board/ ski with a couple of friends who have boats, have also done a fair bit of driving and instruction, and normally ski at Hayling, Elling Tide Mill or Poole if its coastal, otherwise its the usual M25 based ski clubs if I have to go solo. Would be very interested in meeting new boat owning boarders and chip in for fuel/ costs and help out etc. Prefer A3/ M3 destinations as otherwise its a bit of a trek for me unless its a whole day out. Send me a message if your interested.

I have been contacting lots of clubs that have lakes trying to find somewhere in the south, ideally near London to keep a boat at. So far have got nowhere though. They all seem to have some kind of catch, ie.only use in the week or cant take your own food or drink in. If i find anywhere that seems good i'll let you all know.
