Default Lakes in France where you can take your own boat?

I'm thinking of organising a holiday in France on a lake somewhere that isn't too difficult to get to as we'd like to take our own boat.

I've seen a few people suggest Lake Annecy but am wondering if this gets a bit busy as it's quite popular.

Anyone know of any others and what the deal is - how much it might cost to put it in the water and keep it there for a week or two?

Any advice or info would be really appreciated.

Cheers
