Default Northern Exposure

As most of you will know, Lake Windermere got shut down in March 2005 which left the Northern Monkeys homeless with no main riding spot. This left them trying to find new ways of wakeboarding and wakeskating and with Buzz's handy work creating the Monkey Wench, they soon started using a winch to get their fix.
Having filmed everything they do anyway, the monkeys hooked up with Whitenosugar Productions and set about making a documentary titled 'Northern Exposure'. They take the winch to some mad locations like 20 foot weirs, canal locks and all sorts. With crazy winching antics from Tim & Chris Woodhead, Rob Moyle, Craig McCulloch, Solid Jim, all the Northern Monkeys and a host of others, this show's going to help transform wakeboard TV shows into credible, exciting programmes that leave the viewer hungry for more, unlike the majority of programmes seen do date.
The programme goes to air on the Extreme Channel in the spring but we've got the trailer for you now on the Alliance website so head over and check it out.

looking good, we need something like this to go on t.v in the uk. Ive not seen much winching at all, my parents were walkin the dog on the beach in abers and they saw deits and some others with the grinch, my step dad took a video of it for me. But to actually get this on t.v is such a result i think.

anybody else notice that there was no wakeboarding shown on the X-Games this year?

they didn't have wakeboarding at the x games this year. i think they might have built a pool gap outside in the carpark but i might have made that up

I think it was mainly the lack of money that stopped wakeboarding from being in the x-games this year. Also was the only event which was like away from all the others. Ralley car raceing was one of the sports that took wakeboardings place, now thats harderly extreme is it?

On the other hand they did have a sick pool gap thing in the car park which apprently did have some big crowds. ruck won the wakeboarding and reed one the skating.

To be honst i dont think wakeboardings main event will ever come back to the x-games now which is a big shame as it was good for our sport.

sorry kinda off the subject their but yerr

cheers
