i think you already answered your own question dude.
if a big gust of wind will take you 60ft in the air, where's the board skills? (rhetorical)

diddent ask a question dude, what i am stating is that in kitesurfing there is so much more to just riding a board i.e only 10% of the sport, there is so much more to kitesurfing than wakeboarding, im not dissing wakeboarding at all, its a great sport (when theres no wind )

Hey Sim from Alliance, Mike from blondeair here. I cant be bothered to start an argument that should really read..."kitesurfers 90% geeks, 10% ok!" If you know what I mean?
I could do with having a chat with you for a few things for the mag if that's cool? What's the best number to get you on?

I never wanted a pro kite-surf response, more of a just open your eyes and look at the good bits, rather than attack the bad.

before correcting my spelling get a dictionary. cliche and clique are different words, like dog and cat, you'll come to them next lesson I guess.

i agree with you but if the no1 wakeboarder in the UK had a go at kitesurfing and it looked like either of those video clips, then i can guarantee that they wouldn't have posted it on here.
yeah, I believe you. But I'm presuming these kite boarders aren't quite as proud as wakeboarders, so they don't mind exposing their weaknesses in order to try and build more cross-sport bridges.

Haggis sorry mate to diss your spelling when you were using a whole other word on purpose and not just using the wrong word. you obviously have an opinion of how "wakeboarders" dress but i just think cliche would be a better word to describe a "way of life" or a style of dress and clique would be better to describe the group of people carrying out that way of life but its your sentence so i guess you can word it how ever you want.
Blondeair my sarcasm maybe was wasted there but whatever, i'm sure kite surfing is a real boardsport after all you are standing side ways on a board, but i didn't say that your boardsport only involved 10% board skills, some other guy did and yeah wakeboarding does involve a boat or a cable and no that doesn't make it as pure as surfing or skating but until the wakeboarder has to spend 90% of his skill driving the boat while he is riding, i would say that yes it is a board sport.
anyway i'm sure if my business partner can take constant stick about his kite BOARDING and still be chilled about it then you will get over a couple of sarcastic internet posts....
oh and it's not my shop but thanks anyway

oh and for the record my kiting buddy does give me an unbelievable amount of stick for being towed by a petrol guzzling boat as opposed to using "natures clean engine" and a kite, but i don't let it get to me because its just friendly rivalry. He says we need a boat 'cos our board skills can't cope with the unpredictability of something like wind, personally its just because when you fall the boat comes back for you and i like that.
i've never seen him tame the wind enough to get it to do that.
