Default kitesurfers wakeboarding aarrghhhh!

hey people,

here's some footage of a couple of kitesurfers, Lewis Crathern (Relentless) and Neal Hilder, cross training at Princes, London. All comments on their riding and the vid welcome. We don't see any wakeboarders nailing it with a kite...

Be interesting to see what they can do with a board that weighs twice as much, and a pair of bindings that weigh the same again...

there are very few people that make cable boarding or kite boarding look good and these are not two of them.
impress me with a "kite danglers riding behind a boat" video and someone explain grabs to them PLEASE! Grabs are a little more challenging when you have nothing to dilute the forces of gravity.
yeah better skills on the cable than most boat riders but a prime example of how being able to do a trick don't mean you will make it look good. pretty much sums up kite boarding actually........

hang on a minute. Where as these guys might not conform to your branded clique way of life by not wearing the right shorts or riding the right type of board, they are undeniably pretty handy on a board and certainly can ride better than I can.
These type of elitist or even 'sportist' comments don't help any sport create a decent popular following, and I honestly thought wakeboarders might be above this. Anything blurring our prejudiced sporting boundaries surely has to be a good thing?

I have never personally had a go at kiteboarding, but I think a funnier video would be some of you previous posters having a go at some of the things I've seen of their sport, then we could stand around laughing at you too...

No one is saying its not good, but it's not so much what they are wearing dude. Its more about do they make the trick look effortless, do they lay out a nice grab with it..... you know make it their own? Without any of that they may as well be trick skiing.

I might not have a very high riding level but anything I can do, i try to make look nice. IE, include a clean grab or ride away solid.
