Planing on geting the boat dewinterised and braving windermere next weekend. I have heard that you can register your boat on the small boat register or small craft register. If any body knows anything aboat it could you give me a web address. I dont want to fork out 60 quid to the warden to register the boat on windermere only for him to fine me £200 later in the day when he catches me speeding

I have done the SSR thing @ £25.
However its now I believe only £5 to register with the wardens for a year. Personally I am glad I did the SSR thing as I want to give the LDNPA as little as possible. |

Beyond the obvious advantage of not giving the b**tards your hard earned, I think SSR has other advantages: (1) it's £5 a year for the next 5 years whereas the registration fee has only been reduced for this year, (2) little numbers on a white back ground so hard to spot on your average white boat, (3) the wardens may not have access to the register anyway.
